First I must say that I love Bob Dylan, but the Dixie Chick's version of this song captures my soul. I was raised in the country and I'm living in the town, for now. I would love to live in the middle of nowhere. I'd love to not have a neighbor for as far as the eye can see. I spent most of my formative years (Birth though 20) in small towns throughout the wild west. It took me many years to decided that I even though it touches my soul, I am not from the UK and I probably will never get the opportunity/nerve to be an ex pat. I'm also not a pirate, since I'm firmly landlocked. But the one romanticized aspect of my world  that I can embrace is the Wild West. And on that note I've always wanted to be a gun fighter.
I'm not you're average lifestyle blogger. My house isn't decorated and my nails aren't perfect. I have more guy friends than girls. But I'm a  compulsive blogger. I've blogged on various platforms over the years from Diaryland, to Myspace to Tumblr, to several blogs on here. I was never quite sure what side of myself to single out and use as a platform. I am a rocker chick who loves metal and skulls and black leather with studs. I'm a country girl who loves camo and jacked up trucks and mud. I'm a writer who for the first time in recent history hasn't met her goodreads reading challenge because she's written over 150 pages of her novel.  I'm a cat lover, with three furry roommates. I'm a craft person whose art degrees taught her that she belongs in a much grittier world.

I've decided to call this blog Small Town Saturday night, to make it simple. All I'm asking from myself is that I post at least once a week. As time goes on and things start flowing I hope to have features and weekly or monthly things that I showcase. I've been reading a lot of lifestyle blogs, trying to figure out what this world is about and where I fit into it.

enjoy.
